Here's Usher to MTV on why he decided to do the Broadway show: This is a very exciting time in my career. I have always admired Broadway actors for their showmanship, dedication and focus that goes into performing live onstage every night.

Here's Usher to MTV on the difference of acting in movies vs. doing Broadway: Being on Broadway allows you to connect to audiences in a whole new way that's different from music and movies. When they asked me to play Billy Flynn in 'Chicago,' I jumped at the chance to be a part of such an amazing production.

And speaking of productions, even though Usher's Broadway stint ends October 1., the R&B crooner is working on recording for his next album.

Here's Jermaine Dupri to MTV on Usher getting the itch to get back in the booth: He's already thinking about his next album and should begin recording before the year is out. He called me like three or four days ago and was like, 'It's about that time.' I think [Usher's] getting the bug again. It's kind of boring for him to just be sitting around.
