It hasn't been confirmed if this is the handy work of his rehired momanger or not but Usher is getting back in the limelight. According to reports, the R&B crooner has been tapped to perform at the "NFL Opening Kickoff 2008" this year.

Presented by gaming giant Electronic Arts (EA) Sports, the event kick off in New York City's Columbus Circle on Thursday, September 4.

Usher will team up with country music singer Keith Urban to perform the NFL theme song "Believe In Now."
