Usher has laughed off being kicked in the face by a fan.

The 'OMG' singer received the blow during a concert in Madison Square Garden, New York on Monday (12/13/2010).

The smooth R 'n' B singer had brought a female concertgoer onstage and sat next to her on a seat to serenade her with 'Trading Places', but as she swivelled to face him on a recliner, accidentally caught him in the face with her boot heel.

The 32-year-old hitmaker told USWeekly.com: "In all my years, this is one of the most interesting experiences. I got a kick out of it! It looked worse than it actually was. My audience and I got a good laugh."

The fan was reportedly mortified and apologized to Usher straight away.

The singer took a moment from singing to gather himself before quipping: "We play rough in the bed. We kick each other in the face and all type of good stuff."

An onlooker said: "You could tell she felt so bad. She got up, hugged him and started patting his chest."

Luckily the star is quick to forgive - and insisted that she shouldn't worry about the mishap.

He later said: "Wherever you are baby, don't feel bad. No hard feelings."
