
Superstar producer Scott Storch and his production company Tuff Jew Productions is being sued for over $550,000 by David Menefield, former manager of Rap artist Nocturnal and owner of LA Confidential, who has hired, per Menefield, "tough Jewish" lawyer Bret D.
Lewis to prosecute the case. In documents filed in the United States Central District Court, Menefiled claims he lent Storch's production company Tuff Jew Productions $100,000, which Storch agreed to be solely responsible for, when Storch was in dire straights facing foreclosure of his house in 2003.
The complaint filed in the District Court has attached to it a copy of a Promissory Note purportedly executed by Scott Storch and a copy of a wire transfer receipt purportedly confirming the receipt of and wire transfer to Tuff Jew Productions by Menefield of the sum of $100,000. Notwithstanding the prior demands for repayment by Menefield, the complaint states that neither Storch nor Tuff Jew Productions have repayed this loan.
Per the complaint, Menefield claims he contacted Storch on November 15, 2006 and demanded repayment of the loan. Next, Menefield claims he contacted Storch March 14, 2007 to afford Storch an additional opportunity to repay the loan and forego unnecessary collection costs that may be imposed on Storch and Tuff Jew. However, per Menefield's court documents, Storch refused to respond to his requests for repayment.
Additionally, the complaint claims that Storch failed to honor his promise to deliver 4 musical tracks to Menefield and that, together with damages for failure to repay the $100,000 Promissory Note, that his total damages are $550,000. ...
