After 10 years with the label he helped establish a mainstream name for, Trick Daddy has made a move over to Cash Money Records.

After rumors of Trick's departure began to fly around last fall, Slip-N-Slide CEO, Ted Lucas said the Miami MC's frustrations were rooted in a disagreement with the label's parent company, Atlantic Records, over how to properly manage "Back By Thug Demand." According to reports, the CD's disappointing sales were the ultimate decision making event for Trick.

"Now, there's no one to blame," Trick reportedly said. "No one is holding me back and nobody trying to come up off me. Trick is now a grown man. Trick has moved on in life. I sleep better, I think clearer and I'm still going to give you the hits."

Determined to gain a solid hold on his career Trick Daddy recently created his own label, Dunk Ryder Records. In a joint venture with Cash Money's Bryan "Baby" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams, Trick plans to release an album by his group, The Dunk Ryders. Comprised of Iceberg Billion, Lil Fella and Soup (Trick's currently incarcerated brother), the group's video for their first single, "Fuck Tha Otha Side" is currently in the works. Meanwhile, Trick continues to stake his claim to his independence. "I'm signed to my own independent label now, [and] I plan to release my next album independently so I can own something," said the former resident of the "Pork N' Beans Projects." "I don't own none of the masters and I did seven albums. It's like you already got rich off me, at least can I get my masters? Now, I'll be able to own all that and control my own destiny."

The first single from "A Dedication To A Thug," "I Ain't Mad" featuring T-Pain has yet to be released. There has been no word on the official release date for Trick's or The Dunk Ryders' albums.
