Tiesto's Tiesto in Concert debuted at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year's Day, and the Dutch DJ, producer and musician made a killer premiere for his much anticipated yearlong residency.

Max Vandeli pumped up the crowd from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., but with tickets costing more than $100 apiece, the almost-4,000 people at the show were clearly there to party with the world's top DJ.

The red velvet curtains of the Joint stage were drawn around 1 a.m. and Tiesto maintained a high-energy set complete with a spectacular laser, light and sound system for the next 3 1/2 hours.

The set included his latest hits, such as "Speed Rail," Afrojack's "Take Over Control," Steve Aoki's remix of "Pursuit of Happiness," Mike Snow's "Silvia," "Sweet Disposition" and "Forever Young."

With leather seating and bottle service, VIP areas, multiple bars and go-go dancers, The Joint was transformed into a serious nightclub and raging circuit party for Tiesto. Still somehow full of energy, the Master of the Party Universe went on to attend his afterparty around 5 a.m. at nearby Vanity, where Swedish DJ Aviicii played until 8 a.m.

A pioneer in the world of DJ residencies in concert venues, Tiesto in Concert returns Feb. 5, March 5, April 2, May 7, May 28, July 2, Sept. 3, Oct. 1, Oct. 29 and Dec. 3.  Tickets (and drinks!) can get a bit pricey, but Tiesto sure knows how to throw a party!
