• In "We about to blow and really start getting this money" news, the 78th Academy Awards announced Monday (Jan. 30) that Three 6 Mafia was nominated for an Original song Oscar for their Terrence Howard-executed song "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" from the movie Hustle & Flow.

Hustle & Flow was tells the story of a Memphis, Tennessee pimp in need of redemption who finds salvation in music. Nice summation EbenGregory.

Here's DJ Paul to AllHipHop.com on Three 6 Mafia being nominated for an Oscar: We [are] just happy as hell. We knew they said it might be nominated, but we didn't think it would be. It's good to find out it's true. This is just a step further to the roads of Hollywood that we've been traveling since our first movie, Choices I.

Oh really, DJ Paul? Speaking of choices, a Memphis radio DJ believes that Three 6 Mafia member Crunchy Black may have been behind a recent shooting that left the Flinn Broadcasting sales office, home of Memphis radio station HOT 107, riddled with bullets.

D.J. 'Lil' Larry' Armstrong told the Feds that he'd received death threats from Black after a nightclub concert by rapper Project Pat last weekend. Armstrong said Black accused him of disrupting the event. At least 15 bullets pierced the walls of the office, leaving some serious damage to the station, including a transmission line that will need repairs. Apparently, the radio station was holding a wet t-shirt contest and didn't tell anybody.

Anyways, back to this Oscar nod.

Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on Three 6 Mafia being nominated for an Oscar: He that climbs the tall tree has won right to the fruit. Three 6 is eating, no doubt about that.
