The Band Perry has announced The Purveyors of Performance Tour - a trek of approximately 75 dates that will include their own headlining shows, support dates for Keith Urban, Reba McEntire and yet-to-be announced dates with one of Country music's major touring forces.
The tour kicks off August 15, 2011 and will continue into 2012 with performances at theaters, arenas, amphitheaters and even stadiums!
"It has always been our dream to play country music," says the band. "We've been on the road as a family band for thirteen years and experienced the intimacy of theaters, the energy of country fairs and the joy of connecting with new faces as we support these amazing artists at arenas and amphitheaters. Artists like Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Reba were the ones who originally inspired us to dream big...now they have helped our dreams come true. We couldn't be more grateful to them or excited about the future."
As they prepare for their upcoming tour dates, the band is also approaching the end of Tim McGraw's Emotional Traffic tour. The experience has left the sibling trio in awe. "Tim McGraw is a gentleman, a gracious host and the epitome of a mega-star - we have learned so much from him."
August is shaping up to be a high profile month of TBP with the debut of a new video, the airing of the Teen Choice Awards, where they had two nominations (took place on Sunday), a performance on CMA Music Festival: Country's Night To Rock on ABC (8/14) and a Jimmy Kimmel Live! concert (8/17).
The new video for their fourth Country single, "All Your Life" is planned for a mid-August debut (details to be announced). The cinematic video will feature TBP as a vagabond troupe and actually inspired the "Purveyors of Performance" theme of the upcoming tour.
The band is also celebrating the extended life of "If I Die Young," which has gone from being the No. 1 song in Country music to the Pop charts/ The single is at No. 15 on the top 40 Chart, No. 9 on the Hot A/C Chart and # 14 on the A/C chart, according to Blllboard. The video of the song is also receiving airplay on VH1 and MTV.
