In January, an immigration judge found no evidence that Snoop Dogg was responsible for any public disorder and Snoop was allowed clearance back into the UK. The UK Border Agency then filed its first appeal to challenge Snoop Dogg's visa application in April 2008. A senior judge upheld the January decision in Snoops favor maintaining that Snoop, born Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr., should be given clearance to the UK.
According to BBC News, the UK Border Agency has hopes to overturn the decision made in January at the immigration hearing. The British government has filed a second appeal to stop the famous rapper and reality television star from entering the country.
The UK Border Agency maintains "a material error in law" was made at the initial immigration hearing in January. It is now up to the Court of Appeals to determine whether or not the matter should be heard again. Snoop Dogg, was barred from entering the UK after he was allegedly involved in a brawl at Heathrow Airport in April 2006.
A spokesperson for the UK Border Agency made it clear that they wouldn't be changing their minds anytime soon. "There has been no change in the facts that led to Mr. Broadus being denied a visa. We stand by that initial decision. We will continue to oppose the entry to the UK of individuals where we believe there may be a risk to the public."
