Shakira took home top honors and won Best Female artist last Thursday (November 3) at MTV Europe Music Awards. The Colombian-born songstress led the list of nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America with six nods in all, including Best Video, Best Female Artist, Best Pop Artist and Artist of the Year. While she didn't win in the other categories, the blonde bombshell beat out Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani and Mariah Carey to take home the coveted Best Female award. She also treated the crowd to a sensual performance that even had me a little excited. Okay, a lot excited. I plan on making her my next girlfriend since Ashanti keeps playing games.

In related news, Shakira is prepping the release of her second installment of Oral Fixation - the English version. Two songs from the Spanish version, Fijación Oral, Vol. 1, will be translated on Vol. 2, but it's mostly a batch of new songs, including one called "Illegal" that features Carlos Santana. The new album is due November 29. My new girlfriend is also scheduled to perform for Jingle Ball, Z100's annual holiday concert, which will take place December 16 at Madison Square Garden.

Speaking of Fixation, did I mention I have one for Shakira? You would too if you watched her new video Don't Bother several hundred times. I mean really, how can I get in the next shower scene?
