My good friend Ray J is back on the scene. Although he didn't get his One Wish of platinum sales with his latest album, Raydiation, he did get a chance to take part in the Pepsi Smash. You remember Pepsi Smash right? The concert series that flopped when it aired on the WB couple summers go.
Anyways it's been repackaged as on-demand content on the Yahoo! website. Along with concert footage, the show has been enhanced with new footage, including original interviews, lifestyle segments and animation. Pepsi Smash also has this new thing called "Cover Art" where other musicians remake hit songs. The lineup of A-list musical acts features Coldplay, Gwen Stefani, Kanye West and Ray J. Now that I've set the tone, on to the funny stuff.
For some reason, Ray thought that singing the Coldplay song "Clocks" would be a good look for him. WRONG! Check him out as he prances around like he's having a muscle spasm or worse yet, like he's the 2005 Bobby Brown, you know "Off the juice." Add the fact that his voice sounds like he's singing with shattered glass in his mouth and you have the recipe for one silly performance.
Three Words: Make another wish.
Seriously folks, Ray's my man. I'm just pulling his cards a little bit. It's funny, last time we talked, Karrine "Superhead" Steffans was the topic of discussion. You know he's in her book Confessions of a Video Vixen. Ray says luv is luv, so whatever. Me and Ray, we cool.
