• People are always telling me that change is good.but The Jewelry Man is under the impression that all change means is that something you didn't want to happen has happened. The Jewelry Man.telling you that when you're finished changing, you're finished.

In "The jig is up" news, the music-legend homey Quincy Jones has bid a fond farewell to popular urban culture magazine Vibe.

Oh really EbenGregory.is that your way of saying that he's sold the magazine so he can concentrate on other things like young Snow bunnies and little blue pills?

    Yes.

The Jewelry man is informed that after weeks of rumors, Quincy and his partners decided to sell Vibe to the Wicks Group. Launched by Quincy Jones and Time Inc.'s former president Robert Miller in 1993, Vibe magazine was sold to the Wicks Group - a New York-based private equity firm that focuses on communications, information and media industries.

Here's the new CEO of Vibe magazine Eric Getler to EbenGregory on why he fired VIBE's editor-in-chief Mimi Valdes and replaced her with former editor Danyel Smith, whose husband, Elliot Wilson, is editor-in-chief at rival hip-hop magazine XXL: Danyel is a complete professional. It will provide for some competitive fodder, but so long as VIBE always gets the scoop, I'm happy.

Oh really.I wonder if Danyel is excited about getting a new source of income?

Here's Vibe's new editor-in-chief Danyel Smith to EbenGregory on a new source of income: I have always been a strong supporter and believe in the Vibe brand and I am thrilled to rejoin as editor-in-chief. I look forward to strengthening our editorial traditions and our overall music, fashion, culture, and style coverage on behalf of VIBE readers.

That's nice.like watching Quincy Jones shooting commercials for Pro-active while wearing a short sleeve sheepskin jumpsuit complete with a man-bag. And speaking of living in your 4th childhood.

Here's some blue ice jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on the Vibe being sold to a New York based private equity firm that's about to pimp their new magazine: When the music changes, so does the dance.

And speaking of two-step...guess who just learned how to lean wit it, rock wit it: MySpace.com/ebengregory.
