Songwriter and producer Polow Da Don earned his first win as songwriter of the year this Tuesday (May 20) during the 56th annual BMI Pop Awards. The event was held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.
Polow Da Don's songwriter of the year honor stems from four songs he penned among 2007's top 50: the Pussycat Dolls' "Buttons" featuring Snoop Dogg, Fergie's "London Bridge" and "Glamorous" featuring Ludacris and Ludacris' "Runaway Love" featuring Mary J. Blige.
The super producer also crafted songs for artists like Young Buck, Jamie Foxx, Ludacris, Ciara and many more. Previous winners of the award include Sean "The Pen" Garrett (2007), Lil John (2006), Irv Gotti (2003).
