Beyonce and Jay-Z have shared the first pictures of their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

The superstar couple - who welcomed their first child into the world on January 7 - unveiled a set of intimate family shots on social networking site Tumblr, which show a beaming Beyonce tenderly cradling the tot in her arms and the rapper comforting his adorable daughter as she sleeps.

In an accompanying message, the couple wrote: "We welcome you to share our joy.

"Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives."

After Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy last month, the pair admitted they were "in heaven" and described becoming parents as the "best experience" of their lives.

They said in a statement at the time: "Hello Hello Baby Blue! We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.

"Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives.

"We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."

The duo recently filed paperwork with the US Patent and Trademark Office to trademark Blue Ivy Carter's name to prevent others from profiting from the moniker in the future.

Kelly Rowland has been honored at the Black Women in Music awards.

The 30-year-old singer performed her Grammy-nominated single 'Motivation' at the annual event, hosted by Essence magazine, and picked up the Rising Icon accolade at the show.

Kelly - who found fame as a teenager in girl group Destiny's Child - was recognized for her longevity in the music industry, and told the Daily Mail she was "humbled" by the honor.

Kelly's former band mate, Michelle Williams, was at the awards, and insisted she could not be prouder.

She said: "We normally like to give each other our space but when Kelly told me she was being honored, I said that I had to be here."

Third Destiny's Child member Beyonce Knowles did not make the event, but Michelle said she is already in great shape since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy last month.

Michelle added: "She looked amazing! You know that she had a six-pack before she gave birth so there's muscle memory. But she looked in fantastic shape already.

"I had a great time meeting Blue Ivy. I hugged her and kissed her and squeezed her. She's so beautiful."

Meanwhile, former Mowtown boss Sylvia Rhone - who has helped the careers of Metallica, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Jason Mraz among others - received the Trailblazer prize for her work in the industry.

Justin Bieber is "too humble" to give advice to his support band, The Wanted.

'Never Say Never' singer Justin has been joined by the British boy band on a number of dates in the US, but despite being the biggest teen star in the world, they say he never displays any ego.

Singer Max George told MTV: "He's not someone that really gives advice. I think he's too humble for that, in that way.

"I think he just appreciates what happens to him rather than thinks he's God.

"So, I mean, we don't really talk music. When we speak to him, it's more we talk about football or basketball."

Max's bandmate, Jay McGuiness, added in the three years they have been together, the 'Glad You Came' group - which also includes Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes - have developed their own style as a group, which is completely different to Justin's.

He said: "I think he knows that we know how to do what we want to do in the same way that we could never tell him how to do what he does, because he does it a lot better than we ever could."

  • Timbaland[art] and [art]Missy Elliot are both planning to release solo albums in June.

The 'Pass At Me' rapper and the 'Get Ur Freak On' hitmaker - who last worked together on 2011 track 'Take Ur Clothes Off' - want to drop their forthcoming records, Timbaland's 'Shock Value III' and Missy's 'Block Party, at the same time so they don't move "too ahead" of each other.

Timbaland - whose last album was 2009's 'Shock Value II' - told MTV News: "Right now, we're just preparing to get both our videos, our first singles, shot kinda at the same time.

"We want to do it as a movement and spontaneously. I just don't want to move too ahead of her, and she doesn't want to move too ahead of me."

Last year, Missy - who revealed in June 2011 that she has been diagnosed with autoimmune disorder Graves' disease - hooked up with Timbaland on Demi Lovato's 'All Night Long' record from her 'Unbroken' album.

Missy has recently been working as a songwriter and producer for Keyshia Cole, Monica and Jazmine Sullivan, but she hasn't released a full-length album since 2005's 'The Cookbook'.

She is set to feature on Timbaland's star-studded album along with Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Chris Brown.

  • David Guetta hopes he can make house music as big as hip-hop and rock music in America.

The DJ and producer has been a key figure in bringing commercial dance to the US charts through his tracks with Black Eyed Peas, Akon, Snoop Dogg and Flo Rida, among others, and is glad more people are catching on to the sound.

He told news.com.au: "House was underground for so long. I always wanted house to be as big as rock music and hip-hop. And it's happening. It's even bigger. I'm not only happy for myself but for the house community."

However, David was recently angered when an unreleased version of his track 'Titanium' was leaked, featuring vocals by Mary J. Blige, rather than Australian singer Sia, who originally sung the track as a demo, but David had liked it so much he selected it for the official release.

He said of the leaked song: "You shouldn't even know about that. I'd rather not speak about it. That was annoying. It wasn't supposed to be out there.

"The first time I heard what Sia did I fell in love with it. I didn't even want to give it to anyone else; it was perfect the way it was. It's not only about how big you are in America, it's about the song and the voice."

David's 'Nothing but the Beat' album is out now.

Kim Kardashian is reportedly dating Mark Sanchez.

The 31-year-old socialite - who was famously married to basketball star Kris Humphries for just 72 days last year - has allegedly been hooking up with the New York Jets quarterback, but has been careful to avoid being seen with him in public.

A source told Starberryicecream.com: "Kim and Mark like to meet in hotels for dinner dates and flings.

"Whenever Kim is in New York, they hang out. They are very careful with not being seen together, Mark is seeing someone! She has her hopes set on a bigger star than Sanchez. But for now, he will do."

Meanwhile, Kim's D-A-S-H clothing store in Miami has become so popular she is having to scout for a new store to move it to.

According to TMZ.com, Kim - who runs the fashion outlets with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe - is looking to double the size of the store in Florida.

Since her break-up with Kris in October, Kim has been spending lots of time with her family to think about what happened with her marriage.

She said: "I really did some soul-searching, and I needed that. I needed to just be with the family. It's been a hard couple of months. I really didn't think that following my heart would create this much backlash."

  • Rihanna, Calvin Harris and Deadmau5 are to headline a charity concert in Los Angeles later this month.

The acts will perform at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on February 12 - the same night as the Grammys - for the exclusive show, which will benefit the Children's Orthopaedic Center and an artists programme at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Tickets for the show - which also features Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia - are $1000 each, but with a number of huge stars in town for the music awards, the show is bound to be a star studded affair and could include a few surprise guests.

The day also promises to be busy for all artists, as 'You Da One' star Rihanna is expected to perform her single 'We Found Love' with Calvin, then later take to the stage with Coldplay at the Grammys for their duet 'Princess of China.'

Coldplay singer Chris Martin has previously admitted he had to "pluck up the courage" to ask the 'Umbrella' star to sing with them.

He said: "We did a show in Las Vegas and I met her and said, 'Do you think there's any chance?' I was very Hugh Grant-like and spluttering about it.

"It took a while to pluck up the courage to ask her. She has such an amazing voice and it's so different to mine."

Meanwhile, Adele has confirmed she will make her return to live performance singing at the Grammy awards after successful surgery on her vocal cords last year.

She tweeted: "Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait, speak soon xx. (sic)"
