In "Somebody tried to give me a wet t-shirt" news, Eminem protégé, Obie Trice was shot and wounded while driving on a Detroit highway. The rapper came under fire while driving on the city's Lodge Freeway around 1:10 a.m., according to Michigan State Police Sergeant Mario Gonzalez.
One of the bullets came through the back window of Trice's Range Rover and grazed the rapper's head. The rapper's girlfriend, who was also in the car but not identified by police, was not harmed.
Trice continued to drive after the incident, eventually exiting the freeway in the suburb of Southfield, where his girlfriend flagged down police, Gonzalez said. Initial reports indicated that the 28-year-old emcee did not sustain any serious injuries and was treated and released from Providence Hospital later that night, per hospital spokesman Brian Taylor. After I did a little digging, I found out the bullet is still in his head.
Here's Obie Trice to AllHipHop.com on having a bullet lodged in his head: They didn't take the bullet out my head. It didn't penetrate my skull or nothing, but they didn't want to go inside my head and mess with the blood vessels.
The rapper will return to a doctor seeking an expert opinion on whether or not they should operate to remove the bullet. Police have no suspects in the incident and have already asked for the public's help in identifying and locating the shooter. Good luck with that.
Here's Obie Trice to AllHipHop.com on why he thinks he was shot: I don't know where it came from, you know what I'm saying? I really don't have a take on that, a lot of people are jealous, and jealous, and envious and hateful.
Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on Obie Trice being shot and having the bullet still lodged in his head: I'm out of jewelry on this one and that's all there is to it. Cheers.
