Romeo is dead. After months of rumors, denials and salacious magazine covers, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are officially calling it quits. The couple jointly announced their separation Wednesday, their publicists Meredith O'Sullivan and Rob Shooter confirmed.

Here's Jessica and Nick: "After three years of marriage, and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways. This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for each other. We hope that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."

The couple wed in October 2002 and went on to star in their own reality show, "Newlyweds," on MTV. The show made them A-list celebrities. Following Simpson's 2005 role in "The Dukes of Hazzard," tabloid magazines began reporting trouble in the marriage. Us Weekly first reported the couple's split in its Oct. 17 issue.

Here's Jessica on marriage a few weeks before yesterday's announcement: "I think you have to always remember, and he has to remember, that you do need a compromise, even though it's hard," she said. She admitted though, that sometimes strong personalities can get in the way of marital negotiations. "There's people with pride involved," she says. "You have to back down sometime -- just a little bit."

I guess Jessica's boots really were made for walking. Personally I'm glad the broke up, now I can start calling her cell again without having to worry whether or not Nick is gonna answer. Nick is always balla blocking, he should have read my commentary on dating Alpha Females. It looks like he could have used the help. It's okay though, I still found time sprinkle my mojo on Jessica and show her a new move. It's funny, not too long ago I showed the same move to Karrine "Superhead" Steffans. I'm good with showing women my moves.
