• The Jewelry Man is back. The Jewelry Man is back. Guess what's in my goodie bag today?

In "Another rich rapper can't pay his child support" news, the big homey Mos Def found himself sitting in a NYC courtroom on Valentine's Day because he can't seem to pay that child support bill. Yeah, even the righteous Mos Def plays games. Here's the skinny:

Mos Def recently divorced his wife Maria Yepes-Smith. The Judge ordered Mos to pay $10,000 a month to support their 7- and 8-year-old daughters. Ouch! That's kind of heavy. Anyways, apparently homeboy has only been paying roughly $8000 a month since the order was issued.

What happened to the rest of the money EbenGregory?

Here's Mos Def to Judge Sarah Krauss on what's happening to the rest of the money: I have obligations to my three other children and other business issues prevented me from making the court ordered payments. I'm the only person who's providing for my children.

Oh really? Sounds like Mos Def is pulling a Young Jeezy?

Mos Def also argued that his payments should be reduced because Yepes-Smith reneged on an agreement to home school the children. Mrs. Yepes-Smith begs to differ. Her lawyer Karen Blaustein cited a commercial for Mos Def's new movie 16 Blocks, which hits theaters next month and received major exposure thanks to an ad during Super Bowl XL.

Here's the lawyer for Mos Def's ex-wife on his ablity to pay child support: I've been seeing him in these commercials with Bruce Willis for his new movie. I'm sure he made enough money to pay his child support for his 7- and 8-year-old daughters.

I think she might be right so.

Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on Mos Def divorcing his ex-wife and not paying all of his court-ordered child support payments: Forgiveness is like the fragrance a flower gives after it's been stepped on. Besides, fortune is a woman; if you neglect her today expect to be in court tomorrow. Cheapskate.
