Mike Jones, who was once the face of the Texas hip hop scene, is ready to return to the game with his new album "Voice Of The Streets" on July 7th.

"I wanted to let people know that the politics is out the way and now I'm here ready to do me," Mike explained to BET.com. Mike may be referring to his sophomore effort "The American Dream", which was pushed back and formatted to an EP.

The Houston rapper recently chatted with BET.com at this year's Spring Bling to find out about his new album and the true definition of a "Cuddy Buddy."

"Cuddy Buddy" is the second single and will serve as the follow-up to "Drop & Give Me 50", that was already released earlier this year, and features Lil Wayne, Twista and T-Pain.

"A 'Cuddy Buddy' is when a man and a woman are in a relationship and things aren't working out like they supposed to, the woman veers off to go holler at her Cuddy Buddy," Mike said of the new single. "She goes off to call me, she calls Twista, she calls T-Pain and she calls Lil' Wayne. We got the Keith Sweat sample 'How Deep Is Your Love,' in there and it's right man."

Furthermore "Voice Of The Streets" will feature appearances from Chamillionaire, Trey Songz, Pimp C, Bun B, Krayzie Bone, Lil Mo, Z-Ro and Hurricane Chris.

Mike's sophomore effort is set to hit stores July 7 via Ice Age Entertainment/Warner Bros. Records.
