In "Who's the real truth-teller" news, the infringed upon manager homey Troy Patterson is countersuing the Mario and J Records for attempting to sue him.

R&B star Mario's former manager Troy Patterson has responded to the singer's lawsuit by suing the 19-year-old's record company, J Records, and his mother. The Jewelry Man is informed that Patterson is accused by the singer of pocketing hundreds of thousands of dollars from Mario's phenomenal record sales.

Let the homey Patterson tell it, that's not true.

Here's the Troy Patterson to EbenGregory on why he's countersuing Mario and J Records: My production company, Third Street Music, and I have not received any royalties which we were not entitled to. I was responsible for developing the Mario's talent and protecting him from his alleged drug-dependant mother.

Patterson has asked New York City's Federal Court to declare Third Street's agreements valid, since J Records has been excluding him from the recording process, despite owning approval rights.

On a side note, Mario's current manager Mathew Knowles claims he should not be part of the suit.
