Too much Gotti gossip calls for a little news from the dark side. Sorry ladies, the shock sultan himself, Marilyn Manson, tied the knot this Saturday, to five year girlfriend/Burlesque dancer, Dita Von Teese.
The very Mansonesque ceremony took place at Castle Gurteen, in pleasing Ireland. Here, Chilean underground film director (and friend to Manson), Aleandro Jodorowsky, led the nondenominational ceremony, complete with an exchange of personal vows.
Manson described the ceremony as "a drama within a drama; rather than just have a best man, I have a worst man too - I had two friends, and I had hard time deciding." He said that his friends were planning to hire "the great grandchildren of [Adolf Hitler's architect] Albert Speers to light the castle" and that there would be "children in makeup, dressed in these wonderful 19th century outfits, serving absinthe frappe."
The fashion followed the theme of the scripted ceremony, thanks to designers John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood. Manson and Von Teese, donned black and purple taffeta, respectively. A small wedding, with limited celeb guests made up the grosteque style gathering.
"I got f---ed out of a bachelor party, because - quite honestly, I have to agree with her - Dita said, 'Why should you have a bachelor party? That's you're whole life,' " he explained. "'What are you going to do, get drunk and look at naked women?' And I guess that's what I do every day."
Who knows, now that Nick and Jess are out of the picture, maybe we'll get a sneak peek inside the Manson marriage. Keep a look out for Manson's newest LP.
