The three LOX lyricist, fed up with record label politics, are sayin' "see ya" to Interscope Records. New York natives, Jadakiss, Styles P. and Sheek Louch, feelin' trapped by the record label wrath plan to focus on their D-Block label and grooming new talent, like J-Hood.
"We've been on a promo tour for Sheek Louch's album, and on the bus we just been talking about this sh--," Styles said. "They doing so much bullsh-- to us, and it's like you can't do nothing. It's like you work at a real job like at Key Food and you notice the conditions ain't suitable for you and you ain't really getting nowhere."
Fans can still hear LOX on the mixtape circuit but don't expect any more solo albums from the guys; and Kiss, Styles and Sheek Louch won't be doing another LOX group album for Interscope.
Reason #50 seems to be the main catalyst for the ultimate split from the label. The feud between Lox and fellowInterscoper, 50 Cent, arose due to lack of attention from Ruff Ryders Records CEOs Dee and Waah Dean. The group is experiencing middle child syndrome, and feels betrayed by the CEO"S whom they have known since childhood. The LOX are also frustrated that they have not been able to have a sit-down with the head of Interscope, Jimmy Iovine. They say they've been trying to arrange a meeting for the past five months.
Best of luck to the boys as they brave the music industry "labelless'. Check out more, here, on LOX leavin'.
