Lee Brice is having a great time on the "Higher Education Tour" with his buddy, Jerrod Niemann.

Lee tells The Boot, "I was looking for it to be fun but it is far surpassing my expectations." He adds, "We have sold out tin almost every venue, and every show has been a blast. We've been hanging out, writing  songs and catching up. We hardly ever get to hang out because usually  we're both on tour  in different directions. It's just been great."

What's next on Brice's radar is Willie Nelson's "The Country Throwdown Tour," also featuring Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Craig Campbell and more.

Lee shares, "I've opened for Willie a couple times and he's always a sweetheart. I hope to get some hang time with him while we're on the road. There are some great artists on the tour."

When asked if Jamey or Randy could perhaps stir up some 'trouble' on the road, Lee jokes, "I might be the one to get them in trouble!"

These days, when Brice isn't singing, he might be working up a sweat. The country singer has dropped a few pounds lately, revealing, "I've been running three miles a day to warm up and then I do a hard core circuit and hit the pads. My trainerr is teaching me mixed martial arts, and it's amazing what you can drop with three five-minute rounds of that kind of exercise! I feel good and my energy is up."
