Lady Antebellum was the big winner at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last night.
The country trio took home the trophy in five of the six categories in which they were nominated. The group's hit "Need You Now" won the prestigious awards of Song of the Year and Record of the Year, as well as Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Performance By A Duo of Group with Vocals.
The group was the only country nominee in the Album of the Year category, which ultimately went to Arcade Fire's The Suburbs.
Lady A members Dave Hayward, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott were sincerely shocked by the Recording Academy's accolades.
While accepting the award for Record of the Year, Charles humbly admits, "We just cried our eyes out backstage and I can't believe we're up here once again."
The threesome also performed during the ceremony, singing a shortened version of "Need You Now" as well as bits of "American Honey" and the classic "If You Don't Know Me By Now," to pay respects to Teddy Pendergrass, who passed away last year.
Along with taking home the Female Country Vocal award for the song, Miranda Lambert sang her hit "The House That Built Me," and said her performance was dedicated "to the artists who came before us and set the stage for us to be here tonight." Adding an especially sweet touch to the Valentine's Eve night, Miranda's performance was introduced to her future hubby, Blake Shelton, who expressed his love and admiration to his fiancée.
In a tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, Martina McBride used her powerful voice in the show's opening performance alongside Christina Aguilera, Yolanda Adams, Jennifer Hudson and Florence Welch.
In another great country tribute, Keith Urban joined Norah Jones and John Mayer in an acoustic version of "Jolene," honoring Lifetime Achievement Award winner Dolly Parton.
Check out Lady Antebellum's awesome acoustic version of "Need You Now" from their 2010 MCN Fan Club Party, which includes a great live performance and interview!
Also be sure to watch Miranda Lambert's winning hit, "That House That Built Me," as well as an impromptu interview with Blake Shelton from her celebration of the song going No. 1!
