In "I can't make my mind up" news, R&B singer Kelis has changed the title of her upcoming fourth album from "The Puppeteer" to "Kelis Was Here."
Okay EbenGregory, I'll bite. Why did she do that?
Who knows, but.
Here's Kelis to MTV on why she called the album The Puppeteer in the first place: 'The puppeteer' basically means I pull all the strings. I like to think of myself as a trendsetter, and it sort of just means being in control.
Okay. Do you know why her album's been pushed back EbenGregory?
No, but Kelis does so.
Here are words of wisdom from Kelis' blog on why her album is sitting on the shelf: My album is almost done even though I swear up [and] down to my label I've been done for months. I just can't let it go yet for some reason. There's something I've got to add ... It must be fabulous!
I wonder if she thinks this is fabulous. Maybe she thinks this is fabulous. Personally, I like this kind of fabulous, but that's just me.
Anyways, producers Scott Storch, Raphael Saadiq and Max Martin are also said to be contributing. First single "Bossy" featuring Too Short will be released April 4 as a 12-inch vinyl single. The new album title signals Kelis "tagging up the world" and refers to the popular graffiti tag often etched to mark someone's presence, according to a label spokesperson.
And speaking of fabulous, I got something to go with her new look so.
Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on Kelis having her album pushed back because she wants it to be fabulous: If A is success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.
