Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony spent the day together on Wednesday.

The couple - who announced they were splitting after seven years of marriage last month - met up to spend a "beautiful" day in Southampton, New York, with their three-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Marc's representative confirmed: "The intention was to spend time with his kids Emme and Max, and they had a beautiful time. He's been with Max and Emme a few times now."

The pair were seen in an open-topped car where they waved to fans.

Speaking after the announcement of their marriage split in July, Jennifer - who has previously dated actor Ben Affleck and music mogul P.Diddy - has revealed she is still hopeful she will find love in the future.

The 'Back-Up Plan' actress said: "This was the hardest decision I've ever had to face. I really wanted this family to work. That was my biggest dream, and I worked hard at it. We both did. Sometimes it doesn't work - and that's sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love...It's still my biggest dream."
