Actress Gwyneth Paltrow plays the role of a country singer in the upcoming movie Country Song.
A self-proclaimed perfectionist, Paltrow even learned to play the guitar as part of her research to understand her character, Kelly Canter. The actress learned to play all of the songs in the movie, and also sings four songs on the soundtrack - including a duet with Tim McGraw, who plays her manager in the film.
The soundtrack, which is being released by RCA Records, also features a duet with Chris Young and Patty Loveless as well tracks by Trace Adkins, Lee Ann Womack, Faith Hill, Sara Evans and Ronnie Dunn.
The album hits stores on October 26. The movie premieres on November 8, then debuts to the public in Nashville and Los Angeles on December 22. It will be in theaters everywhere on January 7.
