The Game's got a new hustle: basketball. Mr. G-Unot has decided to join the active roster of the newly formed Inglewood Cobras, a California-based professional basketball team. Oh really?
The Cobras introduce the Compton emcee as one of its anchor players for the upcoming American Basketball Association (ABA) season later this week. In fact, he'll be playing along side the incredibly big-mouthed Mike Jones.
Game also has a sizable stake in the team. "I am buying a decent percentage of the team and also playing." Game told AllHipHop.com. "I'm only 25 and I'm still in professional shape. I've been in intense practices with the Cobras for about a month now." Oh really?
BTW, I almost forgot to mention that Game has another side hustle: sneakers. That's right, the butterfly tattoo man recently partnered with 310 Motoring to create a signature sneaker line dubbed the "Hurricane." The "Hurricane" model will mark 310 Motoring's first steps into athletic footwear. Check them out here, here and here. They're slated to hit stores nationwide for the 2005 Holiday season.
Lastly, the Game has started working on his new album, The Dr.'s Advocate. Game's already been in the studio with Dre and said his beef with 50 hasn't been an issue. Along with Dre, The Dr.'s Advocate will feature production from Kanye West, Just Blaze, Timbaland, Scott Storch and Cool & Dre. The album is scheduled to drop in April 2006.
And speaking of 50 Cent, Game recently gave 50 some free speech lessons on his remix of 50's song "Just A Lil Bit ." He's feeling good.
