Rapper Foxy Brown is expected to be released from the Rikers Island correctional facility in New York on Friday (April 18).
The violation stemmed from two separate incidents: Brown's arrest for allegedly assaulting her neighbor with a BlackBerry cell phone and for leaving the jurisdiction of New York without court permission. Brown was originally placed on three years' probation after a dispute with two nail salon employees in New York in August 2004.
"She did every single minute of her bid in jail, and she did it under the most severe conditions," her manager Chaz Williams told Billboard. "They had her on continuous lockdown just because she is a celebrity. They were trying to break her spirit."
Brown, born Inga Marchand, will be released just in time to promote her new album titled "Brooklyn's Don Diva" which is set to hit stores May 13 via KOCH Records.
Furthermore her manager revealed that Foxy will start work the following week on her VH1 reality TV show based on her everyday life.
