Foxy Brown is a free woman after serving eight long months in Riker's Island. Police were on the scene as the female rapper, born Inga Marchand was released Friday April 18th.
Foxy changed clothes as soon as she was released. Her mother Judith Marchand, makeup artist, hair stylist and lawyer New York City Councilman Charles Barron were all there to greet her. Also there were hundreds of Foxy's fans shouting cheers, good wishes and holding balloons.
Foxy's entourage arrived in a fleet of luxury vehicles that included three Rolls Royce's, a number of SUV's and a Maybach, filled with clothes.
Looking relieved, Foxy Brown, born Inga Marchand, emerged from a white Bentley wearing a headscarf, big sunglasses, a brown leather jacket and black top and was immediately swarmed by photographers, reporters, and fans.
Foxy smiled and said, "I feel good to be back home! Brooklyn's Don Diva, May 17," she told the throng of reporters and fans, referring to her album's upcoming release date.
Foxy yelled out, "I been in jail too long," "They said I couldn't do it ... eight months." She started tearing up and then asked the crowd for a "big round of applause for my mother," "I love y'all," she told the crowd.
"This is a big day for me," Brown said in an interview. "To have everybody here that I love, my whole family, the whole Brooklyn, the officers that took care of me at Rikers. Eight months to the day, I remember going in in August and I said when I come out I'm coming out even better. And I'm back baby, it's a wrap."
Foxy went straight to Harlem where she purchased a couple handbags and had a meal from Amy Ruth's. She then went to her childhood home in Brooklyn all with VH1 camera's filming her every move.
