Since the Gotti trial and the Blastro per diem is officially over, I decided to peak my head into the Inga Marchand trial as to pass the time. Here's the skinny on Inga.
In more "I'm a star with long money, so stop trying to put me in jail" news, Foxy Brown had her assault case postponed until Dec. 23 by Judge Melissa Jackson. Brown, real name Inga Marchand, is charged with misdemeanor assault, attempted assault and harassment.
Couple month's back, she got on her high horse and rejected at least two misdemeanor plea deals that would have let her avoid any jail time. Under the proposed plea deal, Brown would have pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and served 10 days of community service. "I'm innocent," Brown said at the time. "I feel like I'm being railroaded." Oh really?
Hey Inga, what about the alleged assault on two nail salon workers you committed on Aug. 29, 2004, in a fight over payment for a manicure at Bloomie Nails in Manhattan's Chelsea district? It's to my understanding (yeah, I got hold of those charging documents) that Inga allegedly slap one worker with the cell phone in the face and gave the other worker a karate kick to the chin. I never said she didn't keep it gangster. BTW, Inga you still dating Tyson Beckford?
On another note, my girl Foxy's deaf. During the trial proceedings, her lawyer is disclosed that she's totally deaf.
Here's Joseph Tacopina, Foxy's lawyer, on Foxy's hearing: She's pretty much totally deaf now. She can't hear me. We have to write things back and forth. Anything I have to communicate with her now has to be written."
That explains why they were passing notes back and forth. I thought he was asking her why she kept sticking her tongue out.
Foxy's scheduled to have surgery in the near future to correct her hearing. The prognosis from that surgical procedure is still undetermined, but "hopefully it (the condition) is reversible. She has to undergo another surgery."
See that's the problem with having money.
