The Blastro crew found themselves on the Playboy afterparty boat in Chicago during Lollapalooza Music Festival 2011 and got the chance to talk to DJ Chuckie before they danced the night away!

 Born in South Africa and raised in Holland since he was seven years old, Chuckie started out as a hip hop DJ and has since transformed into a favorite electronic music act.

Citing Tiesto, Deadmau5 and David Guetta as a few of electronic music's hottest names, DJ Chuckie expresses his content with the rise of popularity in electronic/dance music in recent years. "I'm really happy with the way things have been moving forward for electronic music," the Dutch DJ says. "We have a really strong underground scene, but at the same time we have a strong mainstream side, as well. So that's really good. I'm really proud of the whole development and I'm really happy to be a party of it."

Chuckie shares how happily surprised he is to see how well his music is translating so well in the US despite the "dirty Dutch flavor" he brings to his projects. With his "Let The Bass Kick In Miami" involved with the mashup of LMFAO's huge hit, Chuckie's name has become internationally familiar.
