With six studio albums and four movies under his belt, rapper Bow Wow has made a decision to end his career in music. He officially started his career in 2000 with the platinum album "Beware Of The Dog" and most recently released "Face Off," a collaboration with R&B singer, Omarion with moderate success. Throughout the past few years, however, the young MC has tried his hand at acting with starring roles in "Roll Bounce" and "Like Mike."
"After 16 years in the music industry and six successful albums, I've decided to shift my energy to something else I'm passionate about, acting," Bow Wow said to The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm going to try to be the next Will Smith."
According to reports, Bow Wow was in the process of laying down tracks for his seventh album, "H.I.M (History In The Making)." The album was supposed to include tracks with Swizz Beats, Lil Wayne and DJ Kaled. There has been no word yet on if he has ditched that effort or if it will be his last album. While things work themselves out, Bow Wow will continue with a recurring role as a stand-up comic on HBO's "Entourage."
As previously reported, Bow will star in the upcoming film "Patriots" with Lil Wayne and Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker. He reportedly has roles in the as of yet casted "Mr. Prez", "The Hardest Game" and "Driving Lessons."
