In "How many times is Busta Rhymes gonna be associated with a shooting" news, sadly a 29 year old bodyguard was killed on the set of a Busta Rhymes video shoot Sunday morning (Feb 5).
Israel Ramirez, part-time bodyguard/part-time jewelry handler for Busta, was shot and killed shortly after midnight outside of the Kiss The Cactus production studio in Brooklyn, NY. According to Sohh.com, the shooting was the end game of a heated argument.
Here's an eyewitness to Sohh.com on what happened the night of the shooting: The guy went to shoot Busta Rhymes and the bodyguard jumped in front... and took the bullet. The dude was gonna shoot Busta Rhymes.
Oh really?
Busta was at the Brooklyn studio shooting a video for the remix to "Touch It," which supposedly features Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, DMX, Papoose, Rah Digga, Lloyd Banks, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Winky Wright, Garry Sheffield, Raekwon and others, but after this drama, who knows who'll end up in it.
Police are viewing surveillance footage from nearby buildings that may identify a suspect in the murder. And here's a side note, the New York Post is reporting that police are looking for Tony Yayo, who allegedly "stomped out of the studio after arguing with the video's producer" shortly before the shooting occurred.
Oh really?
This isn't the first time somebody's tried to give Busta a wet t-shirt, but since I don't have time to re-cap the foolishness, you can read about it here. No jewelry on this one, but I do have one question: Why does Busta need a part-time jewelry handler?
