• Closed Sessions: ATX, the album and documentary, was recorded over the course of four days inside of an Austin, TX landmark mansion in March of 2010.

Artists from all over the country and every sub-genre of hip hop participated in round-the-clock sessions that featured some of hip hop's rising stars and proven veterans.

Closed Sessions President Alex "DJ RTC" Fruchter explains why they chose to do the recordings and documentary in Austin, TX: "During the Bun B Closed Session, a lot of other people from Chicago came to SoundScape [Studios]. We just thought, like, 'Wow, this is a really cool thing." All these different artists just happened to go to Texas during the third week of March, so we decided to put ourselves in there. We just thought, we can set up for four days and run the studio around the clock. We'll have artists coming in and out - a lot of artists we wouldn't be able to get just in Chicago. That's pretty much why we went to Texas."

The album includes ten new songs featuring artists such as Freddie Gibbs, Fashawn, Rakaa and Babu from Dilated Peoples, Rhymefest, GLC, Kidz In The Hall and many more, while the documentary shows how everything went down.

The album is in stores now via Closed Sessions and Decon and is also available on iTunes. The 20-minute long documentary premiered on Blastro.com and Blastro's Roku channel this past weekend.

"Austin, Texas is starting to make a name for itself nationally in the alternative hip hop scene," Blastro Networks President Rob Campanell explains. "I'm really honored and excited that Closed Sessions and Decon chose our Austin-based company to premiere the documentary."
