In "It's been slow motion since I left Cash Money" news, my favorite rapper's favorite rapper, B.G. has decided to release a new album: THE HEART OF THE STREETS: VOL. 2 (I AM WHAT I AM).
I'm excited. He's excited. The whole damn country's excited. Well maybe not the whole country, but hey, at least he's got the streets buzzing. And it's not just because his album's coming out. Noooo, it's because B.G. has a lot to say these days.
Here's B.G. to SOHH.com on calling out Lil Wayne after Wayne took a shot at him: We was cool up until that. He never said my name, but he said it towards all the people that left Cash Money and the Hot Boys. I left Cash Money and the Hot Boys, so I took it as he was talking about me. I don't want to harm that man. I watched him grow up. I brought him to Cash Money. I just wanted to put him in his place.
Here's B.G. to Ozone magazine on Baby sleeping with Lil Wayne's girlfriend Trina: I mean damn, you know, I only go by what I hear (laughing). I wasn't really dissing her or nothing like that. I just speak my mind. I ain't gonna say no names, but y'know, his daddy was f*cking her.
Here's B.G. to AllHipHop.com about working with Mannie Fresh on his new album: Mannie Fresh created a certain sound for each Cash Money artist and even though I've worked with damn near everybody from Swizz Beats to DJ Smurf, Fresh is Fresh. We kept in contact over the years and after he left the label, it was on and popping. We hooked up immediately, recorded a bunch of tracks and 'Move Around' was the song we decided to use to let everyone know we're collaborating again. I've worked with Mannie Fresh since I was a kid and plan to continue to record with him in the future.
Here's B.G. to SOHH.com on his recent arrest in Detroit: They was harassing me, that's what happened. They put a gun [charge] on me; they put some weed on me. I had a bulletproof vest on and a half-ounce. So they charged me on possession of body armor and being a convicted felon with a firearm.
Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on all the drama going on with B.G.: I'm wet, but the car's cool. She's wet, that's a car pool. Lay off the junk.
Oh yeah, btw, his new album comes out March 21st. Plus he re-united with Mannie Fresh on a couple of songs. But you really don't care about that.
