In more "Damn, we wish this money laundering trial was over so we can start making some cash over at Atlantic Records" news, Ashanti and JA Rule recently performed at the bat mitzvah for Amber Ridinger's 13th-birthday celebration. The celebration was held inside Miami Beach club the Forge. The event included musical performances by JA Rule, Ashanti, Marques Houston and Omarion.
The "Butterflies and Bling" party was filled with celebrity guests including Irv "I gotta make sure we get paid" Gotti, Playboy Playmate-turned-actress Brande Roderick and Nicole Richie's husband-to-be, DJ AM. The party was rumored to cost close to a cool million and the guest of honor wore a $27,000 Dolce & Gabbana gown. Amber also debuted her line of rhinestone-studded club clothes, Gossip, via a runway show. Needless to say, Amber's parents are millionaires dot-com owners, James and Loren Ridinger.
JA was certainly happy to make a little money for a change. He even performed renditions of "Always on Time" and "Livin' It Up." Ja told MTV that it was his first bat mitzvah and that he was there to, "Scare all the little boys, the little 13-year-old bad boys that try to hit on little Amber. That's why I'm here."
Yeah right. You, Ashanti and Irv were there to collect a check, stop playing. Them Def Jam royalties have since dried up. My question, what did Irv do at the party, juggle watermelons?
