• The boy is back. Welcome to the EbenGregory show. Again. I bring new things this year. I'm more glib. One of my loyal readers suggested I take in more sun. I did. While I was tanning, I developed a new mantra for 2006. Here it is:

I pursue my purpose happily. Knowing I do nothing, I do whatever comes my way, and I am happy. Can you buy that?

    Now back to the foolishness.

In "We were really stupid" news, two men have been charged with attempting to extort $1 million from celebrity couple Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez in exchange for their 2004 wedding video. Not a sex tape, a wedding video. Here's the skinny.

Tito Moses, 31, and Steven Wortman, 49, were arrested in New York City on last week following weeks of negotiations with the couple's legal advisers. The video of the couple's June 2004 marriage ceremony was on Anthony's laptop computer, which was stolen along with the singer's Cadillac, in Linden, New Jersey on October 30.

After failing to sell the videoed nuptials to American magazines People and Us Weekly and TV show Access Hollywood, the two men attempted to bribe Anthony into buying it back. When the detective balked at the demands, the men threatened to destroy the video, the complaint says.

Moses and Wortman were finally arrested during a sting operation in which they allegedly thought they were selling the video for a cheaper price. The two men were arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on charges of conspiracy, attempted grand larceny and possession of stolen property.

Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on the arrests made in Lopez-Anthony wedding video scandal: Operating with integrity isn't easy because integrity only counts when it costs you. Don't let cash rule. Ask Mike Tyson.
