I know what you're thinking, Allen Iverson doesn't do music. Here's what The Jewelry Man thinks about what you're thinking: An opinion is like an Escalade.everybody's got one. The Jewelry Man.telling you that you can't deny laughter; when it comes, it plops down in your favorite chair and stays as long as it wants.
In "I just want to be a part of your entourage" news, four people have filed lawsuits seeking a combined $2.4 million from NBA star Allen Iverson, his promotional company, business manager and security team members in connection with an assault at a Hampton nightclub last year.
Oh really EbenGregory.sounds like a recipe for a new Benz and a lump sum check no?
Yes.
The Jewelry Man is informed that the lawsuits stems from a July 9, 2005, event at Crabbers Restaurant and Sports Lounge in which the plaintiffs claimed they were assaulted that night by members of a security team known as "The Horsemen." The group was hired by Iverson, Gary D. Moore and Crossover Promotions Inc., to provide security for the gathering at Crabbers, the civil complaint shows.
And now.the drama.
Here's Stephen W. Bricker, a Richmond-based attorney who represents the four plaintiffs, in a statement to EbenGregory on what happened: The boys were told to leave the club and were walking outside when they were hit. One of them was thrown to the ground, where members of The Horsemen repeatedly kicked and punched him. His face looked like sausage. It was all swelled up. He still has some nerve damage.
And now.point-counter-point.
Here's Allen Iverson to the Daily Press shortly after the incident at Crabbers on what he thought happened: It's real hard for me to do events at home because people see that it's me and they feel like my life is theirs once they see me. And it's not like that. People can't understand when a security guard tells them no. People say they love me, but if you love me then you can understand when somebody tells you no.
That's nice.like knowing that if things get any worse, I'll have to ask you to stop helping me. And speaking of getting some help. each plaintiff is requesting a jury trial and $600,000 in damages, plus legal fees, according to their complaints.
And now.the jewelry.
Not being known doesn't stop the truth from being true.but what do I know, I'm just a jeweler.
PS, A.I. did cut a Hip-Hop CD, so this is a music story.
