50 Cent is negotiating, and Danny Huston, John Ortiz and Kelli Garner are set to star, in an upcoming independent flick titled "Spectacular Regret".
According to Variety, the independently financed drama was scripted by Blair Witch Project actor Joshua Leonard, who will make his dramatic feature debut as director.

The flick's plot interconnects the lives of four Los Angeles natives struggling to overcome past events. 50 Cent is in talks to play a death row inmate whose imminent execution has made him a cause celebre.

The film will shoot in July in L.A. Peter Sterling and Mary Pat Bentel are producing and Dolly Hall is executive producer.

In related news, 50 Cent is also slated to appear as a drug dealer in the upcoming Robert DeNiro film "Righteous Kill". The movie is about two veteran New York City detectives (De Niro and Pacino) who work to identify the possible connection between a recent murder and a case they believe they solved years ago.
