R&B supertsar Mariah Carey is returing to the screen in the upcoming independant movie "Tennessee" although her 2001 movie debut in "Glitter" failed.

The new movie premiered at New York´s Tribeca Film Festival last Saturday (April 26). In the flick, the multi-platinum songbird plays a waitress named Krystal who meets two brothers on a journey to find their estranged father.

"Mariah said, 'This is going to be refreshing for me; this is actually something that I want', even knowing that it was a gritty, hard shoot," director Aaron Woodley told Reuters. "Some people even told me that they forgot it was Mariah Carey when they were watching the film."

"The whole Glitter experience was very, very hard to go through, but I learned from it," Carey said in a statement about her movie debut.

"She's not a diva and she came to work - and work hard she did," added producer Lee Daniels. "Because this character is interracial and struggles with all sorts of issues because of that, I thought she was perfect," Daniels continued.

Yo! Raps has learned that Wu-Tang´s Ghostface Killah has been cut from the upcoming Marvel movie "Iron Man".

The movie will hit theaters this Friday (May 2) but unfortunatley without the rapper although the Staten Island MC was awarded to make a cameo in the film.

"Marvel and Paramount eliminated the story line that led to Ghostface's scene in Dubai," a spokesperson for Ghostface told SOHH. "Robert Downey Jr. [who plays Iron Man] was having a party in Dubai where he runs into Ghostface and they have some dialogue, an exchange about lending each other yachts and Bentleys."

"Iron Man" director Jon Favreau called Ghostface to apologize for it. "After the change John Favreau called apologizing and made a quick fix by licensing the 'Celebrate' video," Ghost's rep said. "Then Def Jam allowed us to replace the music with an original song for the movie, which all happened within 3 days and 5 days before [the] final edit."

Ghost however will be included on the movie´s soundtrack. Iron Man hits theaters May 2nd.

Soulja Boy not only had hit singles and started a new dance craze but he is busy working on his next album. The young MC doesn't stop with releasing albums and already preps the release of "Back To School".

"My new album is called Back To School", he tells MTV news. "Basically, it is really me taking it back to the basics. It's time to start studying again. Make it happen, man. ... The time I drop the album, everybody is gonna be going back to school. My fans are 21 and under. That's what I'm focusing on."

Soulja Boy laughs off all the suggestions that he'll be a one hit wonder and focuses on making money and his fans. He is learning the business from the likes of 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Diddy and Nelly by putting out a signature shoe, sunglasses, and a clothing line.

He is dropping the Soulja Boy sunglasses, his own signature shoes called "Yums", a cartoon titled "Bad Little Homies" about him and his friends and a clothing line "S.O.D.". The clothing is named after his record label "Stacks On Deck". He will top all that off with the "Soulja Boy & Friends Tour," featuring himself and other young acts.

On "Back To School", Soulja is open to collaborations and production from big names in the game. He produced 90 percent of his debut album "www.souljaboytellem.com".

Once Khia was kicked off of VH1´s "Miss Rap Supreme" she had a lot to say. She blogged, she mad YouTube clips and she did various interviews. Khia made many negative and untrue statements about MC Serch so he went on the record for what he said would be his first and last time to address her.

He started out by thanking her for the publicity because it only helps him and the show. Serch said he admired the fact that she sold 800,000 records and then he set her straight.

"In terms of my records sold, you have stated that I have not sold "Nann" the records you have sold. I think you might have been drinking a little too much of your own Kool Aid on that one. Third Bass had three albums "The Cactus Album", "Derelicts Of Dialect" and a remix album called "Cactus Revisited". My remix album sold 850,000 albums by itself. "Cactus" sold 1.3 million and sells 50,000 records a year for the past fifteen years. "Derelicts Of Dialect" which had our Number 3 pop hit "Pop Goes The Weasel" sold 1.4 million records, 565,000 in the first 28 days."

In his career, Serch is responsible for over 3.5 million in record sales and Khia has 800,000 sold.

He ends his blog with a nice summary on his career and her week long stint on the show. "You see my name in this business has been going on for 20 years. I have been involved in this culture not for the fame or the money, but for the love and that is why I do this show. You did this show for the fame and the money and walked away with neither. My father always said if you chase money it runs away, always let money chase you. Well Khia, you need to stop the chase because it is obvious that 100,000 is long gone from your future. Check please.

Khia, I want to tell you how much I enjoyed you being on the show for a week. You have given us all something to learn and discuss. We have watched you beef with girls ten years younger then you, we have watched you lie and cheat and we have watched you get kicked to the curb and told to step off. I leave you with your own words to chew on, Khia, "Toodles."

With the recent departure of Young Buck from G-Unit, everyone speculated who the next member to be kicked out would be. One of 50 Cent´s soldiers Lloyd Banks recently expresses his loyalty to Fif and G-Unit during an MTV interview.

Banks said that he will never leave the Unit. "I'mma ride the wave when [the fans] are yelling, 'G-Unit,' and I'mma ride the wave when they saying, 'G-Unot,' " he said. "That's it. It's like being a hard-core Knick fan. I'mma be a Knick fan, and they lose every year. But I'm not gonna be the one to just come at the [championship] parade and be like, 'Yeah!' I wouldn't feel right in here. When they doing my 'E! True Hollywood Story,' it´s not gonna [say that] I changed."

When asked that people think Banks might be the next to leave the G-Unit crew, he said, "I hear people say things like, 'Banks is next [to leave].' It's frustrating, because it takes away from everything I put into the brand. This [G-Unit logo] is my first tattoo. Co-founder! We play just as important a part as 50 does."

Banks also went to talk about Buck´s situation. "If you don't like [50 Cent], I don't like you: plain and simple. I don't understand why it's so hard for people to get that," Banks said. "I don't hate Buck or nothing like that. He just made decisions that were premature. A lot of them were affecting 50."

Multi platinum singer Alicia Keys released her chart-topping album "As I Am" in November 2007 but is already actively mulling her next record.

"I've been thinking about the next album since we kind of wrapped up this album," says Keys, who's in the middle of a North American tour promoting "As I Am."

"Part of what I've been thinking about is, 'What are the ways that I want to express myself this time?' When I was just finishing recording 'As I Am,' I said to myself that I want to do something that's totally stripped-down, stripped-back, totally piano-based, singer-songwriter; [a] Joni Mitchell, Carole King type of vibe," Keys said about the plans for the new album.

"I might do that, but you never know where life takes you, where the music's going to take you."

According to Keys, the only obstacle to creating new music is finding the time to do it because a worldwide tour is coming up in 2009.
