The Jewelry Man's jewelry bag runneth over. I got like two trash bags worth. Let's see, I got pink, yellow, blue, rose colored, VVS, platinum.I even got silver for you second class citizens. Jewelry anyone?

In "I got quotes for days" news, Curtis "Interscope" Jackson has finally responded to the slick comments that came out of the little homey Spike Lee's mouth. You know how 50 plays it.

Why actually I don't EbenGregory, care to explain?

Here's the short version: A couple weeks back, Spike Lee laid into 50 Cent for his "gangster" ways. He also took a few jabs at Irv Gotti. You can read all about that here.

Back to 50. The G-Unit Capo recently sat down with Bangkok Recorder magazine to talk about a variety of jazz including the recent comments made by Spike Lee.

Here's 50 Cent to Bangkok Recorder magazine on Spike Lee giving him the gas face: Like anything violent that goes on, they kind of put me to it. For instance, I think Spike Lee's new motivation for talking about me had something to do with the incident with Busta Rhymes' bodyguard... Cause, Spike Lee's not a friend of mine.

Here's 50 Cent to Bangkok Recorder magazine on Spike Lee's movie production skills: I actually dislike the part in his movies where the character stands still [and the camera pans back] and it looks like [the character] moves. I think that's the corniest thing on the planet.

Here's 50 Cent to Bangkok Recorder magazine on Spike Lee talking jazz: I don't know if Spike Lee actually has a problem with 50 Cent, 50 Cent's image or the things that are being projected on me, or if he just needs new press and publicity... Who's Spike Lee? Spike Lee's not relevant to 50 Cent. He's not even in my life. I could care less about him.

He's right about one thing, EbenGregory could care less so.

Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on 50 Cent talking jazz about Spike Lee and EbenGregory doing a half a$$ story about it: The easiest way for your children to learn about money is for you not to have any.

While the jewelry has nothing to do with the price of tea in China, it still looks good. Jewelry doesn't always match, but it always looks good.

  • I hope I'm fishing in the right pond. And I hope you're catching on to every line. The Jewelry Man.best storyteller alive.

In "Now that I've scored with the Biggie Duets album, I wonder if I can keep the jig going" news, my mentor P. Diddy is back in the lab cooking up those hits and contemplating going back on tour.

Is Diddy really serious this time EbenGregory or will he just throw singles out and see what sticks?

    Both.

Diddy recently signed with the prestigious William Morris Agency, a company that specializes in live music.

Here's Diddy's WMA agent Brent Smith to Billboard on Diddy getting back out here: Everything is going to focus around the record, which he is diligently working on now. Almost every year there is one package that goes out, and this year it is yet to be nailed down. There's a bunch of people talking about different things, but there is no definitive hip-hop package out there. We'll know probably in the next four weeks whether a package is going to form or not.

Smith also said that while WMA international head Tony Goldring is keeping an eye out for European opportunities for the mogul, the agency is keeping an eye open for the right hip-hop touring package in the U.S.

EbenGregory has grown weary of such talk so.

Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on Diddy releasing a new album and going out on tour: The one function The Jewelry Man performs very well is that when there is no news, he gives it to you with the same emphasis as if there were.

If I were a movie, you think the credits would be rolling now?

I was thinking me and Mariah could make a movie. We'd live in a big house and I'd have lots of money to finance her diva tendencies. We'd eat, shop, take baths together. Sometimes purchase hair extensions.blasé-blasé. I'd watch Mariah glitter for hours on end. That would be a nice movie. I think I'd call it: The Jewelry Man Meets The Glitter Lady. Ah man, that would be great.

In "Now that I'm selling records again, maybe I can get some of this movie money" news, my ex-girlfriend Mariah Carey is set to tackle the big screen once again. This time around, Mariah is set to star in "Tennessee," an indie drama about a waitress who sets off with two brothers to find their estranged father.

Huh? Mariah's starring in a drama? Pray tell EbenGregory, what role will she play?

Carey plays a waitress who sets off with two brothers to find their estranged father. Their goal: Get dad involved in saving their younger brother, who has leukemia.

Oh really? I wonder if she's seen Glitter? On another note, what's this I hear about her selling jewelry? Is she selling jewelry EbenGregory?

    Yes.

The new products, all under the singer's Glamorized moniker, will be sold exclusively at Claire's boutique outlets. The line includes low-priced earrings, necklaces, purses, make-up bags and rings.

I guess there's only one thing left to do so.

Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on Mariah Carey starring in a new movie and selling jewelry: Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

I'm life in the fast lane.little red corvette.

  • I'm feeling Hollywood again. The Jewelry Man ran out of gas yesterday. The Jewelry Man apologizes. Running out of gas is the last thing The Jewelry Man does.

In "Damn, why'd I bring that gun out the house" news, Master P and his brother Silk the Shocker were ordered to stand trial Monday (Feb. 27) on weapons charges stemming from their arrest last year after police said they found loaded handguns in their car. They both face one count of carrying an unregistered and loaded gun.

Hmmm, I didn't know they caught a case. What happened EbenGregory?

The brothers were arrested Jan. 27, 2005, after University of California at Los Angeles police pulled them over. Prosecutors say the officers noticed a handgun under the driver's seat of the car, which was being driven by Vyshonn Miller. Police said they found another handgun on the passenger seat, where Master P was sitting.

Speaking of sitting in the hot seat, check out this exclusive video obtained by Blastro of Master P and Silk the Shocker squirming in court yesterday.

Lawyers for Master P, who performed last night in the 'Dancing With The Stars' finale, and his brother asked the judge to dismiss the case for lack of evidence. The motion was denied.

The lawyers also asked the judge to reduce the charge to a misdemeanor because their clients had no prior weapons convictions. That motion was denied as well. The arraignment for the brothers is set for March 13.

Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on Master P and his brother Silk the Shocker being ordered to stand trial for carrying loaded hand-guns: Eleven words-It's easy to be a soldier when there ain't no war.

This is me: I'm just trying to be the great, trying to get a piece of cake. Take it right off your plate.eat it right in your face. They want me with my hands up.

  • In "Now that I've learned from the best of the best, I'm gonna get this money" news, my main man Farnsworth Bentley is putting the finishing touches on his new LP. That's right, Mr. Bentley a.k.a. Cascade Cabernet a.k.a. Cashmere a.k.a Leader of the Gentlemen's Movement, is ready to get some of this music money.

So what's the man of hour have to say EbenGregory?

Here's Farnsworth Bentley to MTV on working with Kanye on his new album and being signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music label: Originally my goal was the Grammys, but the parties and everything's been so much fun that I had to push that back. But everything looks great. Kanye's really excited. I've been collaborating with some really good producers and good friends. All of the grind and hustle I've done, it's real now. So this summer, it's on, believe it.

According to my sources, Bentley has worked with Kanye, Outkast's Andre 3000, singer Esthero and hip-hop trio Sa-Ra, who recently worked with Dr. Dre and Common. Bentley's untitled album will also feature several up-and-coming producers.

Okay everything sounds good, but can Farnsworth Bentley really spit EbenGregory?

    Yes.

Here's Farnsworth Bentley dropping a few bars to MTV of his new sh*t: You've met the college dropout, now meet the college finisher/ Farnsworth Bentley slim like a Doberman Pincher/ You can ask my mentor/ '03 the dress rehearsal, now I'm the big spender/ Still need another hint-a?/ Supercharged Mini Cooper, leather interior/ Sorry, MCs, if you offended/ Find out Farnsworth sh-- sound splendid/ Just two years in the game, yet he pimped it.

Oh okay. I know you and The Gentlemen went to the prestigious Morehouse College together. Do you have any advice for Mr. Bentley?

    Yes.

Here's some jewelry being dropped by EbenGregory on Farnsworth Bentley dropping a debut album: If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts. Besides, if you haven't changed because of money; you're not making enough.

The Jewelry Man.out! (Editor's Note: I'm into getting my Ryan Seacrest on.)

"Left of Center" IN STORES MARCH 7

    ABOUT JAVIER

With the release of his self-titled debut in 2003, newcomer Javier proved himself a welcome addition to the canon of intriguing R&B singers. Indeed, not since Babyface has there been an artist who could write and sing beautifully crafted songs as well as throw down with an acoustic guitar and do it all with such pureness. "I like to be versatile with the styles of music I do but I try to keep it true to the genre while stretching it at the same time. A lot of record companies don't allow an artist to have that kind of creative freedom, so I consider myself one of the lucky ones."

On Javier's latest opus, the stunning Left of Center, the Connecticut native brings even more talent to the table. Embracing diverse musical palettes that include splashes of R&B, hip-hop, rock, pop balladry and straight-up soul, Left of Center is an engaging project that should even have naysayers praising Javier's name. "Besides me being left handed," he laughs, "the title Left of Center is just my way of saying to the listeners, 'This album has a slightly different feel than what you might find on some other traditional R&B albums.'"

From the funky first track "You're the One" to the gospel soar of "Answer is Yes," Javier's love for music is engrained in the grooves. "I wrote "You're the One" with producers Ivan & Carvin" (who also collaborated on three other songs on Left of Center), Javier says. "I really wanted to open the new album with something that catches your ear." Utilizing a funky Meters sample that will cause immediate head nodding and booty shaking, Javier sounds like a ladies man with a conscious.

The alluring track "Dance for Me," with its melodic Spanish guitar (which Javier plays himself) is an enchanting song about a slow dancing earth angel and her admirer. Javier's lyrics bring to mind vivid images from a romantic movie, as he focuses his affection on this exotic beauty. There is also a reggaeton remix of "Dance for Me" produced by Rudy "Mayru" Maya hidden somewhere on the new album.

Another stand-out is the Ivan & Carvin constructed "Poetry." With a dark guitar-line reminiscent of classic Ernie Isley, the lush "Poetry" is a tribute to a beautiful woman - as Javier swoons, "Your body stimulates my mind." "I think R&B had kind of lost its way for a minute," Javier says. "For me, artists like Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Brian McKnight and Babyface are the standard. But, more recently, Anthony Hamilton, Alicia Keys and John Legend are also bringing a realness back to R&B/Soul music."

"Count on Me," which Javier wrote with his friend Anthony Hamilton, proves just how dependable our man Javier can be. Through thick, thin and winter winds, nothing can keep him from his woman. "Anthony is such an amazing artist and just a great person. I got to do some touring with him last year and watching him on stage was always inspiring."

On the first single, "Indecent Proposal," you can't help but fall in love with the art of seduction that Javier displays. Like a forbidden dance under a crimson light, the soulful candor of the lyrics are irresistible. Unlike other soul singers, Javier doesn't come across as a just another brother chasing tail, but as this song proves, he ain't no slouch either.

A musical prodigy in his formative years, Javier's musical gifts took him to the University of Hartford 's Hartt School of Music, where he founded an R&B based acappella quintet that performed at Harlem 's legendary Apollo Theater. Javier graduated from Hartt with a degree in Music Education, and soon afterwards he started on his path as a world-class performer as the lead singer for a neo-funk group (called EmCQ) dedicated to the legacy of Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Maceo Parker and Tower of Power among others. "Being in that band really helped me grow vocally. I had never actually fronted a band or done anything like that before. I found another gear that I could kick into that I didn't know I had," he says.

When that band opened for neo-funk luminaries Soulive, Javier's performance drew the attention of Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno, who recommended Javier to be the lead singer for jam-band heroes the Derek Trucks Band, led by Allman Brothers guitarist Derek Trucks. Javier spent almost 2 years touring with Trucks, exploring onstage everything from rock and soul to blues, jazz and beyond.

But while he found the experience illuminating, ultimately Javier had to go it alone. A subsequent three-song solo demo started a bidding war, landing him with Capitol Records.

"When I started working on Left of Center, I was just really excited to get back in the studio and put some of the ideas I had in my head down," Javier recalls. "As time went by, I would go from studio to studio recording song after song. By the time we were done, I had about 38 songs to choose from. If I had my way, there would have been 20 songs on this album but you can't always get what you want I guess" he laughs.

After one listen to Javier's pureness on Left of Center, you too will feel the love. www.javieronline.com
