The who's who of hip hop littered the red carpet, on Tuesday, for the grand opening of Hova's Atlantic City club 40/40. Jay- Z and Beyonce bounced next to two more of Destiny's children, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, as Diddy sang "I like". The star studded guest list also included Terrell Owens, Serena Williams, Eddie George, T.I. and Timbaland, all who arrived in limos and jets chartered by Hova himself. The new A.C. hot spot follows the design of the first New York location, with the addition of a bigger staircase and more space for plush partying. The club is equipped with an "A-Rod Room", a "Caesars Room", and an ESPN VIP room. Hova's partner in crime for this goldmine gala is Magic Johnson who said "when two people are doing big things and grew up the same way, just in different arenas, it's time for us to do things together. We have the same mindset; he dominated in his field, I dominated in my field. It's positive that the hip-hop arena and basketball arena cross over. It's all about entertainment." The two are surely blessed with the Midas touch of gold. After a successful night of partying it is on to the next big event for the man said to be "the best rapper alive". Jay heads to Philly for another Jay and friends show and then maybe wedding bling.or bells??

As the Houston Astros and the Chicago White Sox prepare for Game 3 of this years' World Series, Houston fans pump up in their own way. Chamillionaire, a native Houstonian, has taken time off of his "The Sound of Revenge" promoting to encourage the Houston Astros in their first time World Series appearance. The hometown hotshot remixed the hit single, "Turn It Up" which has become the city's anthem for the series. The single features fellow Houstonite, Lil' Flip, and has fans going crazy at Minute Made Park and on Houston highways, alike. In related news, Chams former Swishahouse partner and longtime friend, Paul Wall, is showing lyrical support as well. Wall recorded his own two-and-a-half minute jam "They Don't Know", shouting out the "Stros and Minute Maid Park. The Astros are down by two games in the series, and are on their way to Houston. Hopefully, the fans and fresh beats of local lyricists can rock the Sox into a few losses of their own.

Dipset daredevil, Cam'ron, is back in his New Jersey home today, after receiving two gunshots early this Sunday in D.C. Continuing the celebration of Howard University's Homecoming, Cam cruised from D.C.'s club H2O and became separated from his security. A car-jacker approached the lone driver at a red light and motioned for Cam'ron to get out of his 2006 Lamborghini. Refusing to part from his royal blue baby, the assailant then fired several shots, wounding both of Cam's arms. The courageous capo, bleeding, managed to drive himself to Howard University Hospital, where he remained until today. Cam's manager says "Cam'Ron will be just fine. He's in good spirits." He will be back to his playa self no time and reportedly, "he even asked the nurse for her phone number when he woke up."

Cam may be down but he's not out. Check out Down and Out.

Our raspy-voiced rapper turned into a modern day Mother Theresa and he's got a star to prove it. Known for his charitable work and philanthropic contributions, Nelly is now the youngest honoree to receive his own star on the St. Louis Walk of Fame. These deeds include his nonprofit, 4 Sho 4 Kids, helping bone marrow research and donations to the MLK Memorial Project Fund. Recently, Nelly had been collaborating with Anheuser-Busch in the production of a series of anti underage drinking ads. Nelly, synonymous with St. Louis surely deserves this honor and his good deeds are yet to cease. Nelly asks one thing, if you step on his star, fine, but let it see the souls of Air Force One's.

    Nelly Really Is Number 1.

It's out with the old and in with the new for Boyz N Da Hood. The group said hello to Lil' Wayne, who is currently president of Cash Money, and farewell to Young Jeezy. There was also speculation that T.I. would be joinin' the group as well, until Atlanta Records knocked that talk. Sources say that there is no bad blood between Jeezy and the group. Owner of BNDH, Blok, commented that "it's not a replacement it's a continuance. We're not beefing. All of us are brothers. That's very important, it's a continuance. This is the way it was set out to be when it first started." Jeezy, who is currently signed with Def Jam, wants fans to know that he's not "acting funny, it's just that [he] got a solo album." These seem to be Jeezy's first steps to a solo career, and in order to be a man you gotta leave the "Boyz" behind. Apparently not too far though as T.I., Lil' Wayne, and Jeezy will begin nationwide tour this November.

    Check out Dem Boyz.
