How to Create and Manage your Playlist

Remember when mixed tapes were the rage? Well, cassettes may be history these days, but the idea behind them is'nt. That's why we've enhanced our user options to include a playlist feature.

Getting Started

To get started, you first must be a registered member of the site. Once you’re set up, signed in and browsing, you can click the plus sign on the lower left-hand corner of any video thumbnail to create a new playlist or add to an existing one. You can also do this by clicking the “Add to Playlist” link below a video you're watching. Whichever way you add the video, the next steps are the same.

You are given two choices when adding a video: “Add to New Playlist” or “Add to Existing Playlist.” If you are adding to a new playlist, type in your preferred title where it says “New Playlist” in the text box, and then hit the “Add to New” button. If you want to add the video to an existing playlist, select that playlist from the drop down menu, and click “Add.”

Create as many playlists as you like from our extensive music video library, switch up the order, or trash ‘em all together. You can access and manage your playlists by clicking on the “Playlists” link on the upper right-hand corner of the site or by clicking the “Manage My Playlists” link when adding a video to a new or existing playlist.

Managing your Playlists

When you get to your playlists page, each one will be listed by name in order of creation, the newest being toward the bottom of the page. To see all the videos in each playlist, click on the “Expand All Video Titles” link, or you can click on a particular playlist’s title to see what’s in it. To collapse the videos, just click the “Collapse All Video Titles” link or re-click a specific playlist’s title.

For each playlist, you can edit, watch, share or put it in the trash. When you hit “Edit” next to a particular playlist, it will automatically expand, and you have a number of options. You can change up the order of the videos simply by dragging and dropping them, you can delete videos from the playlist, and you can edit the playlist’s title, description and tags. Just remember to hit the “Save Playlist Info” button, below the “Tags” text box, once you’re finished. To get back to your playlist homepage, hit the "Back to Playlists" button.

The other options next to each playlist, "PLAY ALL" and "SHARE," are also options when you edit a playlist. To play all the videos in a playlist, hit the "PLAY ALL" link, and if you want your friends to check out your rad assortment of videos, simply click the "SHARE" link and fill in the required info. At this time, you can only enter one name and email in the "Their Name" and "Their Email Address" fields. However, once you hit "Send Email" and the line, "Your friends should get their emails soon," pops up, just delete that friend's info and add in another without having to re-type your info in the fields provided.

The last option is to delete an entire playlist, which you can do by clicking the trash icon next to a particular playlist. Once you do that, it will disappear within a few seconds.

New features will be coming soon, including embed codes for playlists on social networks. As always, stay tuned as we continually enhance our user options!
