‘Trap Muzik’s’ success can be attributed to the popular singles of the album: “24s”, “Rubberband Man”, “Be Easy”, and “Let’s Get Away”. However, the success was not untainted. On the tour of ‘Trap Muzik’, T.I. violated his probation over a drug charge in 2003, and consequently, he turned himself in. This led to his being sentenced to three years in prison. However, while in prison, he was granted permission to film a video for “Let’s Get Away”. ‘Trap Muzik’ was very successful and after this T.I. released ‘Urban Legend’ in 2004. ‘Urban Legend’ generated the hit single “Break ‘Em Out”.
His latest album, ‘King’, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in April 2006 and sold more than 500,000 copies in its very first week. “Front Back” was released as a promotional track. Other singles off the album are “What You Know”, “Why You Wanna”, “Live In The Sky” and “Top Back”. “Live In The Sky” was even more popular because it featured popular artist Jamie Foxx.
His new album, ‘T.I. vs T.I.P’, is due in 2007, and “Layin’ Da Trap” featuring Young Jeezy is already a popular track. It builds on the sound of ‘Urban Legend’.
