Cuban-American Armando Christian Perez, better known as Pitbull, is creating waves with his reggaeton rapping. He released his third album, ‘El Mariel’, in October 2006. The first single, “Bojangles”, was very popular and a video, to the remix was shot with Li’l Jon and the Ying Yang Twins. On ‘El Mariel’, he has collaborated with artists like Li’l Jon, Daddy Yankee, Diaz Brothers, DJ Khaled, and many others.

Pitbull released his gold-selling debut album ‘M.I.A.M.I. (Money Is A Major Issue)’ in August 2004, but before that he was

featured on songs by Li’l Jon and on the 2Fast2Furious soundtrack. His claim to fame was “Culo”, where he collaborated with Li’l Jon. Since then, he has released a remixed version of ‘M.I.A.M.I’ called ‘Money Is Still Is A Major Issue’ in 2005, followed by ‘El Mariel’ in 2006.

Pitbull has collaborated with the best in the hip-hop music industry. He reworked Usher’s “Lovers and Friends” into a Latin reggaeton version called “Dime”, on which he worked with Puerto Rican Ken Y and Li’l Jon. He wants to fuse cultures by making American starts big in the Latin market and vice-versa.
