Nikkole is an independent musician that has established herself as a true artist within the music world. In 2001, she released her debut CD entitled ''Appearance'' on SE Entertainment Records, which introduced the world to Nikkole's amazing vocal sound and unique songwriting ability. Her hard work resulted in a Best Pop Album award from Radio Free Virgin and JPF, for which she beat out 7800 other independently released albums. Her winning streak continued with another award from Radio Free Virgin and JPF with ''Over It'' being named one of the top 20 Best Pop Singles out of 25,000 independent successful songs in 2003. Nikkole further proved her success when she became the 1 independent singer in the US with her debut album, ''Appearance'' via mp3.com, which was one of the first major music internet websites.
The success of ''Appearances'' enabled Nikkole to branch out and work with some of the world's top performers such as Babyface, The Emotions, Lakeside, The Commodores, Midnight Star, Norman Brown, Gregory Hines, Whoopi Goldberg, Cedric the Entertainer, and Patrice Rushen. Each collaboration brought new challenges and has helped develop and enhance Nikkole's own unique voice and style. Nikkole has written and crafted new tunes for The Emotions and The Commodores and she has appeared on the soundtracks to the films ''The Brothers'', ''Biker Boyz'' and ''Love and Action in Chicago.'' Nikkole also appears on Norman Brown's 1 Billboard smash ''Stay With Me'' (2007), more specifically the radio-friendly cut ''You Keep Lifting Me Higher,'' which she not only sang, but she wrote and arranged the vocals. In fact, Nikkole spent 8 weeks at 1 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Charts with Norman Brown's, ''Stay With Me'' project. The album remained in Billboard's Top 10 for over 4 months!
Nikkole has written and co-produced every single song on all three of her albums. Nikkole is also a voting member of the prestigious National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences ''The Grammys'', which is quite an honor especially for an independent recording artist.
While we are on the subject of the Grammys, Nikkole was up for 3 Nominations in the following categories at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards: Best Urban / Alternative Performance - Breathe, Best R&B Song - Breathe and Best New Artist! Again this year, Nikkole has been selected as a contender for 8 Nominations in the following categories at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards: Album of The Year - Creolepatra, Best New Artist, Best R&B Female Vocal Performance - Exotic, Best R&B Female Vocal Performance - I Really Need You, Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance - Nikkole feat. Following up and building upon the success of her first CD, Nikkole released a brand new full-length LP entitled ''A Girl Like Me'' on SE Entertainment Records. This CD exposed the world to Nikkole's five octave range, and reminded them of the lyrical ingenue's exceptional skills. The lead off single ''It's Too Late'' features The Emotions and was added to medium or heavy rotation at over 60 commercial radio stations, including Clear Channel Stations in the U.S. alone and to numerous radio stations in the UK, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and the Cook Islands. Nikkole has especially struck a chord in Japan as her overwhelming demand there has led her to record two of the songs from ''A Girl Like Me'' in Japanese, making her one of the first American Pop / R&B recording artists to do so.
The explosive album, ''A Girl Like Me'' generated a second HOT Single, ''Gon' Bounce'' which was also added to radio stations at a feverish pace. ''Gon' Bounce'' debuted at 1 on American Idol radio on the first week of release in the U.S.! ''Gon' Bounce'' did what it was destined to do, which was to heat up the dance floors around
the country and world!
Nikkole released yet another fantastic single from ''A Girl Like Me,'' which was the Neo-Soul cut, ''Breathe.'' The video for the song was listed as one of the Hottest new R&B videos on Blastro!

Proving that music isn't the only arena that she can conquer, Nikkole has also enjoyed modeling which afforded her the opportunity to branch off into her first love --- music. This gave her the chance to finance her first album ''Appearances'' on her own.
The success of Nikkole's recording career has also led to endorsements and or sponsorships with Smashbox Cosmetics, Nine West, Cecilia De Bucourt, Sterling Capricio, Sergio Valente, Joe's Jeans, Seychelles Footwear, LF Larchmont, and A Catherine Original.
Nikkole was featured in the December 2004 Edition of Ironman Japan modeling with World Renowned Bodybuilding Champion Ken Yasuda, and in the April 2005 issue Nikkole is highlighted in the article for the movie ''Just Another Romantic Wrestling Comedy'', in which her song ''Baby, Baby'' was picked for the soundtrack. Nikkole was featured in MediaSearch Magazine of Australia in 2006. She was also interviewed in the December 2005 issue of BRE Magazine about her CD ''A Girl Like Me'' and she is featured in the Sounding Off section of Ebony Magazine, August 2006. Nikkole also appeared in the Sounding Off section of Ebony Magazine in July 2006. Nikkole was featured in the January 2007 issue of InMag and in the August 2007 edition of L.A.'s The Place and the September 2007 edition of Riveting Riffs as well. This is addition to numerous newspaper articles and regional magazine reviews of Nikkole's recordings and concerts.
On November 20, 2007, Nikkole released her very first Christmas EP, ''It's Christmas'' / ''Wrap Me Up (Special Delivery).'' This collection of two original holiday songs was well received and the EP is on it's way to being a seasonal favorite!
In February of 2008, Nikkole's song, ''Beautiful Colors'' from her debut album, ''Appearances'' was selected for a television and radio ad campaign for Mattress Firm, the largest mattress retailer in the United States. The ads began running on April 30, 2008 and will be expanding throughout the country in the coming months.
Moving along in 2008, Nikkole was not only touring, but she was also in the studio, finishing up her latest album, ''Creolepatra'' on SE Entertainment Records. ''E-X-OTIC'' is the first offering from the new album. The ''E-X-OTIC'' maxi-single was released on July 8, 2008 along with a brand new music video that has been certified gold on blastro.com and has been Number 1 for four consecutive weeks. The new studio album, ''Creolepatra'' was released on August 12, 2008 and contains 17 brand new jamz! In October 2008 Nikkole was chosen by Cosmopolitan Magazine as one of America's Top 10 Fearless Female Rockstars!
2009 sees Nikkole releasing her 2nd single from her highly acclaimed cd, ?Creolepatra?. The maxi-single is called, ?Love Was Made In Heaven? and features sax great, Everette Harp. This maxi-single features six remixes of the song. There are two live versions (radio edit and a full length) which feature Everette Harp, a sexy throwback, 60?s ?Supremes? beat, and a blazing hip-hop / pop club banger featuring and produced by Jojo of DoublePlay Music. In addition to all of that, Nikkole reaches out to her Euro-dance fans with an electronic sure-fire dance / trance groove.
Later Nikkole plans to tour with her new show that will highlight songs from all of her albums! The show will be dramatic and intense!!!
With so much on the horizon, Nikkole will continue to develop her proficiency as a singer-songwriter, and producer so that she can remain a musical talent who is always at the top of her game.
