NB Ridaz

After making a name for himself in the Southwest areas of the United States, Phoenix-based artist, MC Magic founded Nastyboy Records in 1990. After releasing his first album, Don't Worry, in 1995, he was able to recruit other local artists to form what would become NB Ridaz. Led by MC Magic, NB Ridaz released their first album, Invasion, in 2001. Invasion made the independent charts, and the first single from the album, "Runaway", barely struggled up onto the Billboard Hot 100, but it cleared the Rhythmic Top 40 with ease. The next single, "I Wanna Love-U", hit on the Rhythmic Top 40, but did not make it onto the Billboard charts at all.

NBRidaz.com, their second album, was a hit on the Hip-Hop, Heatseeker, and independent charts. "So Fly" actually made it into the lower Billboard Hot 100 and was also charted on the Rap, R&B, and even the Rhythmic Top 40 charts. This helped to boost their next single, "Notice Me", which also enjoyed a low spot on the Billboard top 100, but received more airplay than any of the previously released singles. The next single to be released, "Pretty Girl" hit higher on the Billboard Rhythmic, R&B, and even Rap charts.

Although NB Ridaz disbanded in 2006 and each member went on to pursue solo careers, the group's founder, MC Magic, has just completed his solo project titled Magic City. The first single from the album, "Sexy Lady", featuring DJ Kane, has received a lot of airtime and hit #1 in several markets. MC Magic's album also features some hot artists, such as Baby Bash, Chingo Bling, Gemini, and Don Cisco. The remaining members of NB Ridaz, Dos and Zig-Zag, have teamed up with Tony Talkbox and Angelina to create New Ridaz, and their first single, "Special Girl", is getting airplay in several southwest regions.
