Lazard is a popular German deejay who rose to prominence in 2002 when her first independent release "4 O'clock (In The Morning)" began receiving heavy rotation in the European club scene. Born in 1982 in the Niedersachsen region of Germany, Sunny became immersed in the European house scene from an early age and began finding work locally as a DJ (though she occasionally styles herself as a DJane, to set her apart from her male competitors) while still in her teens.

When her amateur debut "4 O'clock (In The Morning)" began generating serious buzz, Sunny - only twenty years old at the time - took her life savings and bought a set of high-quality turntables, to further perfect her art. While some might think spending every penny to your name on DJ equipment to be a foolish move, the investment paid off for Sunny. In 2003 she was approached by a major German record label and asked to appear in a musical project called T90 with another female DJ. The pair's release, 2003's Dome, garnered serious airplay throughout Europe on television stations like MTV and VIVA based on the success of single "Of Summer".

Sunny departed from the label after T90's second, somewhat less successful 2005 release, and decided to adopt the moniker Lazard for her solo recordings that were to follow. The stunningly beautiful German DJ released her first solo hit "Living On Video" in early 2006 on German trance label Pulsive Media. "Living On Video", which was re-released three times that same year by Pulsive, topped the dance charts throughout Europe, paving the way for the success of her second hit single "Your Heart Keeps Burning" - a remake of a 1980's dance hit - in 2007.
