Head Automatica is an electronic rock band formed by Glassjaw lead singer, Daryl Palumbo. Daryl teamed up with well-known producer Dan 'The Automator' Nakamura to record their debut album, Decadence. After a delayed release, Decadence was released with two new tracks recorded with the new line up Daryl needed for a live band, which included Larry Gorman (Ex-Glassjaw drummer), Jim Greer and Brandon Arnovick (The Rondo Brothers), Jarvis Morgan Holden & Graig Bonich. After the first round of touring, The Rondo Brothers left Head Automatica and was replaced by Jessie Nelson on keyboards.
Their debut album, Decadence, was released in August 2004 and featured the modest alternative radio hit "Beating Heart Baby". It was produced by Dan 'The Automator' Nakamura, famous for his work with groups including Gorillaz and Handsome Boy Modeling School. The band issued Popaganda in 2006, which featured the singles "Lying Through Your Teeth" and "Graduation Day"
