Alice Edun was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia to a Nigerian father and Russian mother. She moved with her family to Africa where she developed her gospel background in school and at a Baptist, church choir. When Alice moved to Italy, she continued to sing gospel, soul, and pop genres, performing regularly inside and outside of Italy.In 2004, Grammy Award-winning, DJ/Producer Benny Benassi chose Edun among hundreds of vocalists for his "Benny Wants You" appeal program. As a result, she recorded lead vocals in 2005 on "Who's Knockin?" by FB. The record contains mixes by Ferry Corsten and Benny Benassi and was released through Dance Therapy, Holland.In 2007, Edun made her solo debut with "Put 'Em Up," released in the U.S. by Robbins Entertainment. It reached the number two spot on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart. "Put 'Em Up" also went on to become the most-aired track on American, dance radio the same year and was supported by Judge Jules on BBC Radio 1 in the UK.Recently, Edun started collaborating with various, new producers and songwriters. She recorded and released "Survive" with Oscar Salguero via Blanco y Negro in Spain and Andorfine Records in Germany. When she moved to Italy, she sang gospel from 1998 onwards and took part in the Milan Gospel Festival in 2003. While all this was happening, Edun was also experimenting with R&B, soul, funk and jazz styles and performed regularly inside and outside Italy. She is a much sought after backing vocalist and has performed with leading Italian artists on tour and for television.
Her collaboration with Off Limits Production began in 2004, when she decided to respond to Benny Benassi's -Benny wants you- appeal, through Benny's website. Benny chose Edun for her wonderful voice out of hundreds and
hundreds of demos.
Edun sang "Who's knockin'?" (by FB feat. Edun), the track that was remixed by the famous djs Ferry Corsten and Benny Benassi (FB is the acronym of Ferry and Benny).
Edun's first solo single has a new fresh sound and is called "Put them up", that has composed by Sannie Carlson - also known as Whigfield - and produced by Favretto, an upcomin' Italian dj/producer who works at the Off Limits Recording Studios.
